In the Community
The ownership, management and employees of RMV are extremely proud of supporting numerous initiatives within the communities in which we serve. RMV’s commitment extends to not only showcasing an outstanding experiential experience for our guests, but to ensure we give back to the landscape, history and people who make our presentation possible.
Sustainable Development
Reflecting our passion for service excellence and leadership in the tourism and travel industry, RMV has developed and implemented sustainable operating policies and practices that minimize environmental impact and promote awareness of Canada’s natural resources. Community Spirit
RMV employees in proud partnership with Gray Line West employees, participate each year in creative Community Spirit fundraising events in support of local and international charities– and they have a fantastic time doing it. Along with our corporate community initiatives, sponsorships and scholarship offerings, the organization contributes well over $250,000 annually to support various worthwhile endeavors in our community.
Heritage
Trips onboard both the Rocky Mountaineer and Whistler Mountaineer include interpretive commentary provided by our Onboard Attendants and all guests receive supplemental information related to the history and heritage of the communities and regions they are traveling to and through – and it is a rich and fascinating history. We are very passionate about Canada and eager to show off what make our communities so special.
Rocky Mountaineer Station
Our 20,000 sq. ft. station centrally located in the False Creek Flats of Vancouver, BC, is both the terminus and departure station for guests traveling on Rocky Mountaineer’s Kicking Horse Route to Banff and Calgary, Alberta and Yellowhead Route to Jasper, Alberta. The Rocky Mountaineer Station is a heritage style building with grand 35 foot ceilings that underwent a $4 million renovation in 2005 and is available for special events, trade shows, product launches and even weddings!
