Vancouver Train to Kamloops
Board the world-renowned Rocky Mountaineer train at the Rocky Mountaineer Vancouver Station. Pass through the fertile fields of the Fraser Valley and view the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains before entering the Fraser Canyon. You’ll see the thundering waters of Hell’s Gate and follow the Thompson River to historic Kamloops, gateway to the Interior of British Columbia. Stay overnight in moderate accommodations in Kamloops.
Kamloops Train to Banff or Calgary
Continue east through the vast ranchlands along the South Thompson River, pass Craigellachie, where the Last Spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, and enter Rogers Pass, with its tunnels, snowsheds and glistening glaciers. This Rocky Mountain rail tour then climbs through the Spiral Tunnels and over the Continental Divide to Banff National Park. End your rail journey in Banff or continue on to the “Stampede City” of Calgary the same evening.
